New Love takes the cake in the third novel in Nora Roberts's new Bride Quartet-in a stunning French flap edition

Wedding baker Laurel McBane is surrounded by romance working at Vows wedding planning company with her best friends Parker, Emma, and Mac. But she's too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that their clients seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker's older brother Delaney, on whom she's had a mega-crush since childhood.

But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her-or so she thinks. When Laurel's quicksilver moods get the better of her-leading to an angry, hot, all-together mind-blowing kiss with Del-she'll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever...

    « VERY tedious..... »
I had this book loaned for three weeks and could not get through it. Needless to say, I had to borrow it again so I can finish it. Given the fact that I am a very fast reader,it disappoints me that this book just cannot keep my interest. Maybe NR should stick to her murder/romance genre instead?

« Can't wait for the final installment! »
The three books of The Bride Quartet I have read have all been hard to put down. Nora Roberts writes a great story.

In a word: Boring. The characters in the third book of NR's bride quartet are flat, undeveloped and, well....boring. There's no story line, no suspense, nothing of interest. While I like her new style of snappy dialogue, it gets to be repetitive. Very disappointing from a leader of the genre.

« OK, but not the best in the series »
I really liked Vision in White. I thought it was fresh, lively and interesting. I loved the premise and the world of Vows and really enjoyed Mac and Carter's story.

Savor the Moment was hard to get through. Though Nora Roberts' skill with dialogue and plotting is unmatched, there just wasn't enough conflict in Savor the Moment to make it a page-turner. I liked Lauren and Del, but their story just never quite got going for me.

    Sorry--I wanted to love this.

    « Bride Quartet - Book 3 »
I am huge fan of Nora Roberts but I have been pretty disappointed with this series. I did like Mac's story but didn't even finish Emma (skipped right to the end) and this one is heading toward the same fate. I just cannot like these women for some reason and the details on each of their skills can be too much. Also, for some reason the 'slang' or abbreviated way she has these women speaking has been getting on my nerves. I like Del and thought he could do better than Laurel and find a nicer woman, which I guess is a bad sign in a romance novel. Anyway, I will never give up on Nora because I enjoy so much of her work.....but this series has been disappointing. I might give Parker's story a shot, but at this point, not sure I care enough. This is so far from great stories like Carolina Moon that I wish that Nora would come back!
