« THE best book to read, whether you're sick or not!! »
I have had this book for over 5 yrs. This book should be read by EVERYONE. It contains information VITAL to persons who may be ill with Cancer and will certainly help them in their journey to recovery. For those who are not ill it is a great boon to their metabolism and to their overall health by avoiding the 'wrong' foods and eating those foods which only help our bodies. For those who are CAREGIVERS this is a MUST-READ. You CAN BEAT Cancer...I am proof, this great book, alternative treatments and putting GOD first will certainly bring healing to those afflicted. There is another book I would buy in connection with this book and that is a small book by Dodie Osteen, the mother of Pastor Joel Osteen, who's book..."Healed of Cancer" is a must read and I read it daily while undergoing chemo treatment and it certainly gave me a whole new outlook on life and faith. I have purchased BOTH books and given them out free to others so afflicted in the hopes that they have a full recovery such as I did. To God be the Glory!!

    « Questions, Uncertainty, Calm »
I was told I had pancreatic cancer 3 months ago, I have had chemo, lapraoscopic procedures to determine any metastatic activity and have read several books with subjects ranging from nutrition to spiritual healing. I believe all the facets of healing have merit, however the one book I have read that I can truly understand, in layman's terms, is BEATING CANCER WITH NUTRITION. Dr. Quillin has written this book with an obvious amount of research and understanding of the various challenges cancer patients face.

My previous work experience involved working closely with animal nutritionist as it relates to vitamins, both macro and micro minerals and amino acids. I have experienced proper nutrition in animals and the vast improvements proper nutrition can offer. Needless to say, I should have been following a nutritional protocol that was as well balanced as described above. I might not be experiencing this journey of cancer I'm currently battling. Believe you me, I am following a well balanced nutritional protocol now.

Everyone should read this book. It contains a wealth of information that can do you no harm...no side effects, no pain, no anything but knowledge. Do it...you won't be sorry.

    Thank you,
    GWB

One of the better books on a nutritional approach to cancer. Surviving "Terminal" Cancer by Ben Williams, A Cancer Battle Plan by Anne Frahm, and Anticancer by David Schreiber, MD were also very informative. « must read - wished we read this book the first time C came around »
Thank you for writing this book - although it is more technical, which does the more medical readers a more interesting insight as well. However, the book provided plenty of information in layman terms that you would not feel that you have missed out on any information.

From our experience, we have seen how nutrition has supported RT, Chemo; but we were not as brave not to apply these treatments; we are using RT to 'debulk' the C cells and allow the nutrition to support the body to clean up the rest of the C cells that modern technology can not even detect.

The book is a wealth of information that is so useful for both the patient and the rest of the family! we realized we could be that close to getting C if we dont change our diet drastically, and we have a pretty healthy diet, so I thought.
The book gave us a lot of hope in fighting this C, whereas the doctors have applied a very negative view since we all have learnt there is a huge limitation of what chemo and RT can actually do on its own. We have taken the power back from the doctors and it feels good that we can now take charge by making sure the patient is being feed the food that the body needs. So far so good, even though we have been given the stage IV diagnosis, the doctors have not been able to explain why the tumors have shrunk (this was before treatment and just by changing the diet completely for three weeks before treatment could start)!!! Every body is different, but we know diet is making a huge difference.

it is must read book to allow you to have the power back and take away the feeling that the floor has been taken away from your feet. Choose a doctor that supports your nutrition - it is critical.

« Contolling my PSA with Dr. Quillin's book »
I went to Barnes and Noble, after my PSA returned after surgery and radiation therapy, to buy the book "How we Die", I couldn't find it. Instead I came across Dr. Quillin's book and cd. I briefly read through it and told myself, I've got nothing to lose, so I gave it a try and here I am today to thank him. It really does work, if you have the discipline. The problem I've encountered with my friends who have been diagnosed with cancer, is that they are scared and invariably go for whatever their doctor thinks is best for them. That's why I just buy them the book and hope they read it and try to show them by my example that you really can improve your odds of survival if you are willing to give up the things that are harmful and focus on the things that are good for you.
